With Cathedral, my brother Robert and I continue our visual investigation into the relationship of structure, space and prayer.  Like our previous series Portable Prayer, here too we have used some of the visual vocabulary found in much of Baroque art and architecture and added a little modern.  The name of the piece really defines its structure and function.  It is simply a place to sit, reflect and pray.

This work represents a synthesis of our visual ideas.  It is, collaboration. It presents challenges to our methods of creating.  It is a process that we have found uniquely rich. It is not my work, but our work.  In this struggle for plurality we find the work speaking more universally.
