Inspiration
I love furniture. These are functional objects that occupy space with us—places where we sit, stand, eat, drink, gather, and display the objects that become part of our lives.
Furniture shapes both personal and communal experience. It influences how we move through a room, how we encounter one another, and how we inhabit a place.
In that sense, I have always thought of furniture as being very close to sculpture: an object in space that affects how we see, move, gather, and experience our surroundings.
After all, isn’t that also what a work of art does?
