The title describes both the structure and its purpose. Cathedral is, quite simply, a place to sit, reflect, and pray.

The work also represents a synthesis of our individual visual ideas. Collaboration challenges the habits and assumptions each of us brings to the making process, but that tension has become one of its greatest strengths. The work is not mine or his; it is ours.

In that negotiation between two voices, the work becomes less singular and more open. Through that plurality, we have found it capable of speaking in a broader and, perhaps, more universal way.
